The Service Credit Union Boston-Portsmouth Air Show will be returning to the Portsmouth International Airport at Pease on June 30 and July 1, 2012. The United States Navy Blue Angels will headline this year's amazing lineup of performers. For the third year in a row, the Brain Injury Association of New Hampshire and the Daniel Webster Council are partnering to produce one of the finest civilian-run air shows in the country.

Volunteers Needed!

The volunteer kickoff meeting for the air show will take place on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 PM at the Camp Carpenter Dining Hall. It's because of our dedicated, hard-working volunteers that we've been able to put on first-class air shows over the past two years for the benefit of two great non-profit organizations in New Hampshire. We need your help to continue the tradition for 2012. There are many different areas of the air show operation that we need volunteers to assist with. Plus, you get the chance to see the show and be close to all the action!

An online volunteer sign-up form is available at by clicking here. Even if you volunteered at the air show in the past, please visit the page and complete an online application.

Concessions Opportunities:

Scouting units and other not-for-profit organizations will be given the opportunity to sign-up to run a concessions booth at this year’s air show. This is a great way to get involved with the show and make some money for your organization (non-profits only). All the equipment and supplies are provided; groups just need to provide enough volunteers (generally 12 at any one time, although some booths require less) to run the booth. Groups must be willing to run a booth for both days of the show.

Groups that participated last year will be contacted in the next few weeks. Any group (including those that participated in the past) that would like to be considered will need to complete the online form available on the Concessions tab at the top of this page beginning on Monday, February 13, 2012. The application window will close on Friday, February 24, 2012 and groups will be notified if they have received a slot by Friday, March 2.

If you have any questions, please contact Ron Snow, Associate Air Show Director.

Scout Air Show Encampment:

The Air Show Encampment will once again be held for Boy Scout troops, Varsity Scout teams, Venture crews, and Explorer posts. This is a great opportunity to see the show and provide friendly service for a portion of the weekend. Registration for the encampment will be free (a $10 refundable deposit per participant will be due at the time of registration and returned to the unit after the weekend is over). A t-shirt, memorabilia item, and meals are provided. Registration is done on a unit (group) basis only, so your troop, team, crew, or post should start planning now to take advantage of this great and unique opportunity to be part of one of the largest family events in Northern New England!

Registration for the Encampment will begin online on January 30. Click here for the registration page.
