| Day Camps Around the State Cub Scout Day Camps are open to boys entering grades 1 through 5 in September and are offered throughout the summer in various geographical areas of the state. This program, which runs Monday through Friday, offers a fun-filled week of challenging Cub Scout activities, exciting adventures and new friendships. Opening ceremonies start the day at 9:00 AM and camp closes at 4:00 PM. Scouts will participate in many types of activities including water activities, archery, BBs, field sports, nature, arts and crafts, Scout skills, and a variety of other events. All areas (especially archery, BBs and water activities) place a special emphasis on safety procedures. Each week has a Family Day complete with awards and a campfire or ceremony in the afternoon. Cub Scouts may register for any day camp session, regardless of which district they live in. *TIGER CUB PROGRAM: Boys entering grade 1 in September may attend Day Camp as Tiger Cubs. Each Tiger Cub must be registered in the Boy Scouts of America and attend Day Camp with an adult partner. The Tiger Cub adult partner does not need to pay an additional fee. Online Registration -

Medical Form Volunteer For Staff To insure a successful Day Camp program for our Cub Scouts, volunteers are needed to staff program areas and guide the Cubs through each day's activities. If you volunteer and are selected, your son (1) will attend a week of Day Camp for the deposit price of that day camp! Volunteer staff will be expected to assist with Day Camp set-up and take down. Please note that adults that volunteer as den leaders may not be in the same den (group) as their child. Volunteers should complete a volunteer application and health form and submit it along with your son's registration. Volunteer Staff Training attendance is required (if not taken last year) by attending one of the two dates at Camp Carpenter, to be scheduled. You will also be required to attend an orientation conducted by the Day Camp Director at the Day Camp(s) you serve as a staff volunteer (this is mandatory for all day camp volunteers). Tag-a-Long Program A special 'Tag-A-Long' program area is available, at no charge, for staff volunteers who need to bring their sons non-Cub Scout siblings to camp. The area is staffed by a responsible adult and staff who have planned activities for the children. Tag-A-Longs must be at least two years old and potty-trained. Additional Information An individual registration form and health form should be completed for each camper along with the deposit or full payment for camp. Prior to your sons session, you will receive a packet with specific information about your Day Camp, including what your son should bring (and not bring) to camp. |
